hello everyone, new to this forum. started fishing again last year after a long time off , how things have changed over the years, was just wondering if anyone could give advice on some web sites to buy flies, tried selectafly was ok.

always had good service from these but usually best to phone your order through so that they can confirm stock levels. They tend to send you an alternative if something is out of stock if ordering online.

I normally buy Fulling Mill or Donegal in Sportfish and guess I pay about a quid a pop. I tell myself I'm buying quality materials tied to strong hooks but looking at these sites I could save upwards of 40%.

Is buying online a false economy or is paying retail prices a mug's game?

oo forgot to mention lucian on the forum ties sum brilliant flies, have a look at the classifieds

If you are paying those prices - for Kenyan - you are being had old son - try a British flydresser and you'll get bombproof quality at round a quid a pop.

Steve Newsome in Chesterfield - Bill McIlroy down Rutland way and there are many many more .

Try the fly factory, i have had some pretty good servoce and good quality flies from there.
