Default good site for forecasts

Found this site very usefull and maybe the forecasters who can forecast years ahead, global catastrphes, but cant get day to weather right, this may help.

quite a good one,if there is any others anyone knows of to use.

Metcheck.com - UK Weather Forecasts - Live Data - Long Range Weather Forecasts

I find Metcheck ok for predicting cloud cover and rain, but they always seem to underestimate the wind speed by 5-6mph.

They are OK but it depends on where they take the data from for your area. For my place just East of Glasgow the data used is from Prestwick, I emailed them and asked. Most of the time they are right but I have to add a couple of hours to their times to give the weather time to arrive They have been wrong over the past few weeks as the systems have been coming in from the North and East. For a look at the rain forecast for the day and if it is heading your way have a look at this site.

Will it Rain Today? | Rain radar for the UK | Going to rain? | Meteogroup

If you put your location in it will centre the map on it.

has anyone used the fishing section on metcheck, they have a thing called "catchcast" whach is a novel idea, how they figure it out though is beyond me.

I always try to look out of the window before I go...

I've not been too impressed with the accuracy of metcheck in my neck of the woods recently.
