Unhappy catch carriers

hi, could any one tell me what the plastic straps are called that go through the gills and out the mouth to carry caught trout rather than putting them in bass bag...better still were do you get them and how much should i be paying....seem that they do job well...

I've never seen them for sale here in the UK, but they're called stringers. You can get them from North American retailers. I believe they use them like keepnets, i.e. to keep a catch alive for display.

Edit: I've just found one from a UK shop.

Not that I kill many fish but I always carry some cable ties in my bag or on my float tube for this purpose. I never buy them as where I work there is always plenty available but they are very cheap to buy.
