Default Mellow Greeting

Just dropped in to say hello - I have been lurking for a while so thought I should surface, fly in cheek and say hi.
Off for a spot of casting practice at Barlow today - I am calling it that because I am drawing blanks lately. Think I have lost my touch.

XxX

Hi and welcome

Once you catch a few the blanks wont matter, its not always about catching.

Welcome to the forum Catepayne!! Look forward to reading your future posts and of-course on how your fishing and casting is progressing!

Cate, that's unusual! Is it an abbreviation of Catrin (Welsh) or Catherine? Or maybe I've got the gender wrong? Anyhow, WELCOME!

Welcome to the forum Cate hope your fly casting has a better outcome today I am sure it will, but even if it don't just think of the exercise your arms are getting mind you there is a better way of exercising your arms in the local hostilery mines a have a on me best of luck.

Smile Catch Report

Well my catch from Barlow - 2 ham sandwiches, 1 small pork pie, a bar of CDM and a flask of tea.

Casting was great but nothing on the end of the line.
Mind you it looked like a slow day all around.
Apart from a couple of blokes course fishing for trout!

Hopefully will fare better next weekend. Up to Maran hopefully if it has defrosted.

XxX

Are you the man with the cigar? If so, see report above. Couldn't even catch a cold today!

twas freezin - no one catching really - an then on a much hated "lure" (well 4 u ) had one of the few following....an u just missed! yo! the day, the place, the people - all made it a pleasure, to catch is exciting - sometimes exhillarating - but just taking part was the best of all. Hope ur toes r warm!

Talking

is helping to thaw out the toes, Feel dreadful for giving in and using one of those nasty egg things. Won't be doing it again!
Still at least my BFF caught a pretty brownie so day was not lost.
It was very beautiful today and the swans were really funny!
