Default GAC online orders

I placed an order yesterday for the forst time in about 5 years as their service had been so bad i had heard things had improved so i will wait and see how long it takes them to get it delivered to me , according to the site everything was in stock so hopefully i might see my order before the season starts on March 1st

I notice it does say on their e-mail to me 3-4 days is the normal delivery time for orders, this is day 2 so hopefully Tuesday should see the goodies arrive .

It was always their postage costs to ireland that put me off. Has the price come down Colin?

It says free postage when you spend over £150 and 10% discount on all orders until 31/01/2010 .

Maybe i'm in the minority here but i have bought many things (from rods down to hooks) from GAC over the years, and have never experienced any problems with the orders whatsoever.

The wife got me a kelly kettle at Christmas and it arrived 2 days later.

I think that yours will take longer to deliver however due to the queue outside your location!

Without wishing to take this thread too far off subject, i have just read the latest Garry Evans catalogue and it states that they are now offering the same postage rates to customers in Norther Ireland and the Scottish Highlands as their other customers in the rest of the UK pay.

Wonder if more will follow suit ?

i can rember about 2 years ago it took 3 weeks for me to get a delivery when i stay just down the road in south lanarkshire. I would have been better off just going down to the actual shop to get the stuff i ordered
Ive ordered fly tying stuff this year on normal delivery and it has arrived either between 4 and 7 days after its been ordered

They do seem to be slower than a lot of their competition ,Sportfish are delivered next day ,ACS delivered next day ,Grommit from the forum delivers next day and so on ,i only oredered from GAC as they were offering 10% discount and free delivery for orders over £150 and my usual shops didn't have the items in stock ,but if i get good service from GAC i will return again .
