Default Parcel Monkeys

Anybody use the above service. I did after reading a recommendation on the Martin Lewis site, as the rod was too large for Royal Mail (3 piece 10ft).

Cheap Parcel Delivery: Use the web to cut courier costs...

Anyway they have been a complete disaster. Numerous emails and phone calls to get them to collect and when they did collect they sent two separate and unconected parcels to the same address.

I have since tried to get them to re-collect and redeliver (they acknowleged the problem and agreed to do this). Despite contacting them numerous times to get them to do this, all I get is an automated receipt/response and all my phone calls or referred back to their site. An absolute nightmare - an endless loop! Having given up on trying to get them to sort out the problem, the recipient of the extra parcel has kindly agreed to send it on for me at cost (different company this time).

Anybody else have any problems with Parcel Monkey, particulalry when trying to resolve mistakes/issues?

Perhaps it's all in the name!

PS is there any trade body I can contact?

You know what they say," If you pay in peanuts, you can expect to get Monkeys" or something to that effect,

I think this best sums up there service. Taken from the review link below.

"If I could I would rate at zero stars. Its not bad value, the problem is that if something goes wrong, there is no reliable way of contacting Parcel Monkey. They dont answer the phones EVER. ( I have found a second, unpublished, phone number 01794 341 295 try this & leave a message ). Emails are ign ... "

If you need anymore convincing not to use these guys then have a look here. Wish I had of seen this at the start

I have to own up here , I have used them three times for two piece 10 foot rods and I never had one bit of bother with them. They were spot on with collection and delivery and were as cheap as chips. Just goes to show. It was the big names who came to collect them

It is the big names that collect them as all Parecel Monkeys do is act as a middle man. But if you deal with Parcel Monkeys you can not speak directly to the actual courier company when things goes wrong to sort it!

You have to go via Parcels Monkey and they do not answer their e-mails properly so you cannot sort the problem out. Absolutely dire. Not suprising, as they have problems communicating with you they also seem to have problems communicating to the courier companies to resolve any issues. If things go wrong you r .........
