Default on my own fly!

i guess we all can find it irritating when some nerd posts - chuntering bout their own success. Last couple of weeks i've visited Penine (blanked), Alton Manor (1) but today i returned to the now defrosted Barlow. Just me and one other guy there fishing the two (of four) defrosted lakes. Took me about an hour to take a decent 2lber to a pheasant tail nymph, any way carried on - no success, buzzers, nymphs, apps etc (although did miss one on latter - it jumped out of water to follow after i'd lifted line!). moved to other lake and decided to put on the one fly i've tied - an (anorexic) baby doll in yellow. took immediately - lost good fish in weeds while fumbling round for net - but went on to take 3 other decent fish on the same fly (one a brownie that i carefully helped back).
my little baby doll is totally mangled! i'm sure loads of you tie your own - but for me on my first, well i was on a total high until - hmm well not too long ago. guess i'll calm down - but what a great day for a relative newbie
thanks for listening guys.....
