Look no futher than Pitsford Pirate, Ivory Floater!! Top Notch, quality and price!!

Or if your feeling a little flush, try the Greys Platinum Heron Grey Floater!

Depends on the rod you are using it with, some lines suit rods better than others. Snowbee XS is hard too beat!

cheers Diarmid.

Best for doing what?

Is this a money no object enquiry, or are you looking for the best line in relation to performance versus value?

A mill end can be the best line for certain circumstances and budgets, whereas a high end silk line can be the best for certain circumstances and budgets.

The Pirate.

I have used the Greys platinum and snowbee in different sizes ( 4,5.7) and reckon the greys is the winner. In fact one of the attractions of buying a new rod off placed like Grommits is that they will throw in a Greys line FOC !

Yep, depends on what you want it for and how you wish to use it but as above, the Pirates lines are highly regarded and are blinding VFM!!

I also love my Cortland 444SL

If cost isn't an issue have a look at the Carron trout lines. I use their floating lines and really like them.
