Default T&S - February - Dropping their standards!

T&S are now dropping their literary standards and letting bloody colonial anglers write for them now (kayak feature article)... what's the bloody world coming to!

I still really like the magazine and read it happily. I would certainly be sorry to see it go, however, what is increasingly irritating me are the monthly 'new flies'. This month it is the 'Posh Tosh'. Hello? Black & Yellow tubes in all sorts of variants have been in use for years?

Other weeks it is a Cascade with a feather out of place

My own tied flies are so mishapen I might have invented a Quasimodo-shrimp.

Perhaps I'm turning into a grumpy old man!

Colin

Well you've punted that article to so many publications, one of them was bound to fall for it sooner or later and it was bound to be one of the worst. But hopefully you were paid what it was worth.

The one good thing was the minimalist approach to our sport.

It would be fun to have a caption competition:

"Theo's just farted" for my effort.

Tight lines all

"The boys can taste Theo's breakfast as they open their mouths..."

"Theo shared his love for guiness and oysters with the boys the next morning..."
