Default Close Season

Why is it that whilst fishing during the Brown Trout season it seems to be over in a flash yet the closed season seems to last for an eternity????? Roll on 15th March.

Where I am in Ireland the trout season opens on the 1st March but it is still a long wait.

You should appreciate the closed season and the excitement that builds from january its like christmas when you are wee. But generally a lot more expensive and you have have to buy your own presents for the coming season.
Welcome to the forum where do you fish?JB

i appreciate both seasons for coarse and game fish, and waiting for June 16th for coarse season to start has always been special ,i generally go to the river the night before and wait for midnight to come round on the 15th

It's a version of Einstein's Special Theory of Relativity. The more you fish the faster the time goes!
