London has it's first professional fly fishing guide.

I don't know Alex personally. The other Wandles speak very highly of him though. But anyone wanting to have a guided trip to London's last surviving chalk stream, he'll be the man.

I only fish the Wandle rarely, but it is a bizarre experience. Wading in Wandsworth catching wild brown trout just south of the South Circular. Or parking up in the big Sainsbury's car park in South Wimbledon, tackling up and dealing with the incrdulous looks.

It's not what I look for in a fishing destination but it is great to do as an experience ......... the next greatest sight will salmon fisherman on the Thames.

Not doubting his credibility, I've met him a few times and he's a good guy, but to be fair there are other highly qualified and very experienced guides in the London area such as Robin Elwes, Bob Sherwood, Brett O'Connor etc.
