Default Connemara Grayling

Under an hours drive from Oughterard. A day pack and tramping boots and a half an hour brisk walk...

Is it just me, or does that first photo look like it was taken on a different day/place to the later ones where the grayling appears? The first has a blue sky weather pattern ....

Four seasons in one day...

My brother Gavin worked as a fisheries officer for the Carlingford Lights for a year. As part of cross-border initiatives between the different fisheries boards there was group training days for First Aid etc...

A few of the lads from various Fishery Boards went out for a few bears afterwards as you do and with the tongues well oiled the subject of invasive species came up... Gavin came down to stay with me a couple of years back and the rest is history... you do not wan't to know half the stories of invasive fish stocks that my brother has witnessed - only in Ireland.
