What sort of fly fishing do you fancy doing? Small stillwater, big stillwater or river because what you'll need and what will suit is dependent upon these questions.

RIVER : 8ft.6in fly rod, #4/5, (Reel to suit rod, #3/6) + DT or WF #4/5,weight fly line! This would be a suitable outfit for most Rivers.

Lake or Reservoir : 9ft, Rod #6/7,weight (Reel to suit #5/8) + WF - F or S #6/7 fly line, this would be an all round reservoir outfit!

This is basic to your requirements, depending on where and what type of water you'll be fishing on!

Hope it helps.
