Default Fishing License...

I very often leave my fishing license in the car.

I wondered if it's OK to show a photocopy... I could put one in each of my fishing bags, waders etc...

Many Thanks.

Providing you have your name and EA licence number written down, there should be no problem, because an EA bailiff can check your licence number!

I would think that would be perfectly ok as there is no photograph on the license. I would accept it if I was an EA officer but then I am not.
I think I will photocopy mine and leave min in the car that way you can't lose it good idea.

Mostyn is spot on - all you need to carry with you is the license number.

I write my number in the front of a club book so that it's always to hand .

I think proof of your name would be enough & I seriously doubt if the EA would start any legal proceedings against anyone if there was even the slightest possibility that you bought a licence & left it at home by mistake.
I'm not sure what they'd do if you couldn't provide a licence or any proof of ID though.
I doubt very much it would end up in a £2500 fine though...
