I agree, I know they´re not everybody´s cup of tea, but I´ve been enjoying watching them again over the last couple of weeks. The camerawork is excellent and the fish and settings stunning. Music´s not to everybody´s taste, though ,and the anglers come across a bit Beavis and Butthead at times.

I´ve got all 3, Patagonia and Mongolia ones are the best IMHO, as the landscapes and fishing are more varied - the New Zealand one doesn´t have the variety of the others but is still worth watching.

There´s a new steelhead one ( called Metalhead) out next month which I´m looking forward to.

Recommended for a bit of Winter armchair fishing.

The best of the series P, IMO, not everyone likes it, but I find it stunning stuff.
Not the kind of place mrs t would consider, and I don't fancy it on my own.
Still we can dream.

Not desperate about the MTV format which seems to becoming a bit of a fly film cliché now. However the sea trout the fella catches in Patagonia when he goes off fishing on his own are just unbelievable.

Default Patagonia

OK, you've inspired me. I've ordered the Trout Bum Patagonia DVD.

If the fishing is as good as Yorkshire I'll be surprised though....

The filming took place in British Columbia - no more specific than that at the moment.

After watching thses DVDs I get the feeling that I've wasted my life. I like the music (Some Richmond Fontaine would be good) and the style of production.

One surprising thing is that Royvs isn't making a guest appearance in this one.
