Edd, I think Rookstorm, Stuart has one, quite a lot about them on here try a search.
If you are looking for a brand new one at £200 below list, I am sure ulmric1 Martin still has one for sale, PM him, a great chap, and very helpful.

The 9' #5 tip flex is a cracking rod. It's a very good all rounder and stands up against just about everything after some fair testing against other rods. In fact i'm buying a hydros, same blank but cheaper...

I will admit to hating the helios the first time i used it. Whether that was because of dodgy casting ability on my part i don't know. What i do know is that now i am a much better caster now and i love the rod.

Same advice as always though, try before you buy

Don't discount a Sage XP ..the 9ft #5 is a beauty. If you want to try one out just let me know!
Cheers Diarmid.

Edd,

I see you are from my neck of the woods.

I had both the tip flex and mid flex helios 9ft 5 weights. I hated both for different reasons.

As you are so close I can let you put a line through a Sage ZA 9ft 5 weight. IMO a far better rod.

They've gone from the dodgy gold Jimmy Saville reel seats ond the Helios, to a shocking blue blank on the Hydros.

It depends what you like, it certainly very capable ,The tip flex far more so than many others IMO including the ZA and S4 ,the thing that get on my goat though is the reel seat. I am not normally one for cosmetics but as RRW would say its a bit Jimmy Savill.

Have you tried one, rods, lines and reels are helluva personal?
