This is todays report 9th January: CLOSED. Still frozen solid, ice is now 2-3 inches thick and will only get thicker with successive frosts. I suspect that(as in 1995 when frozen for 6 weeks)thawing could take at least a couple of weeks. Looks like it will be a long wait.

Mmmm, I am leaving a fresh bowl of water out for the birds and need to replace it three times a day as it freezes over.

They are certainly getting through the seed ......... and there has been quite a cull of grey squirrels trying to get to the food as well
