Default Season Ticket.

Is a season ticket a good buy? I can buy a season ticket for £275 for 25 fish, which lasts 6 Mts.

It very much depends upon what you're getting for your money.

Are you restricted in the number of days per week / month you can fish? Is it a small put and take rainbow fishery - what size of fish are stocked and what are the stocking levels? Is it a syndicate - if so how many other members?

If it is a small rainbow fishery £11 per fish and 25 over 6 months doesn't seem too great a deal!

Lighthouse is right. More questions than answers, but right.
Last season with Anglian Water a 4 water (Rutland, Grafham, Pitsford and Ravensthorpe) ticket for 8 months, 75 fish, 5 fish a day and no C&R was £350, so go figure.

That sounds not unlike the Packington deal which is, actually good value for money.

25 Fish for about that money including use of a boat and three private members pools plus the day ticket water.

At face value it does sound expensive but if you blank, you don't pay and after your one fish you can C&R. Thus you get a minumum of 25 days fishing plus boat, provided you don't want a lot of fish.

Default Season Ticket

Tweed Peebleshire Association water (23 miles) Jan 1st to Oct 6th. £15

ELAA (Tyne) Trout, salmon and sea trout. £12.

Hillend Loch. Trout season. £60.

These are pensioner's rates. Under 65s will need to pay around £110 in total. No restrictions on catch numbers although Hillend limit is 4 fish per day.

Any lower bids?

is the way to value a season ticket only by the number of fish you can take?.
well not in my opinion . my fishing opportunities are never longlasting and are snatched on the way home from work or an early morning or late evening therefore flexibility to go when i want and for how long I want is the key. the idea of paying for a dt then only fishing 2 hours isnt an option.

so i would say the opportunities to fish and the quality of the surroundings and the quality of the fish not the size made available by the ticket are more important than the number of takeable fish....

but thats my opinion...

On my local lake 'The Boxmoor Trout Fishery' it is £290 for 40 fish and £385 for 60 fish, with a 4 fish maximum per day. I find that the main advantage is that I can pop down just for a couple of hours without worrying about getting my monies worth for a day ticket. Sometimes i'll spend more time with a piece of yarn on the end, practising my casting.

My club ticket is £90.00 for the whole trout season. Four guarenteed boat days at no extra cost and free access to any unfilled boat on the day.
A 4 fish limit per day and some of the most beautiful surrounding to be found. It is also 6 minutes from my front door.
Lucky? you better believe it
