....to get myself a 8-9' 4 weight rod for the river, fishing light, wets, dries and nymphing, budget of £150 for a rod or £200 for a set-up, any suggestions?

Have a look at the Orvis western 3 . Iv'e just got a 10 ft #4 i'm well chuffed with it.

Too catch a 10lb + wild Broonie its been over 15 year since that magic day on loch eck , And at this time of the year my mind always drifts to that day , since my boat partner , messers Mr Graham ( lifelong friend ) has passed away at the oh so young age of 38 . Still in my thoughts old yin , tigh-lines ...
