Default T&S crossword

I'm having a hard time with this one, 9 across, Isaac Walton's angler, I thought compleat but it won't fit with the other clues, could it be "Piscator"?
1 down "buoyant lures" 7 letters, I think I'm having brain fade.

Poppers will fit if 1 across is permit, 9 across is piscator, 2 down is rises and 3 down is Ivan. that's the only option I think.

I think the answer should be "I'll give you the answers if you'll give me the fly line you win as a result. WF5 please."

Default Hey - I'm a winner

Well, would you believe it, I've won a fly line (Cortland Whisper Taper) in the T&S Crossword Competition - my first T&S prize after many years of trying

But this has set me wondering, was this success perhaps because I was the only one who wanted a WF3F
