Hi all i was just looking at my line and noticed that about an inch or so below the loop at the end of the line the coating is splitround the line and was just wondering what i should do? just leave it or is there something that i could do to fix it or cut it off and ty my own loop back on? also any ideas what could of caused this? cheers bobz

Sound like your leader may have got it or it has just split because of hinging
at that point.Id just cut it off,make sure your line has dried,dab the end with superglue to seal it let dry and fit new loop.

i would also add, rub aquasure into loop(braid) where end of fly line is ,as superglue isnt totally waterproof and will ingress water at some point...

how do you fit a new loop? is it one of those braided loop packets and attach one of them?
