Default 4 fish in under 2 hrs

Popped to manningford this morning, arrived at around 10:00am to a thankfully ice free lake,it looked stunning with the snow lying in the trees and all around,it really was beautiful, paid for a 2 fish ticket, set up my rod with a green and black montana and off i went, caught the first fish in 30 mins then another 15mins later, none of them were big,one went 2lb3 and the other 2lb5
but they both fought with spirit,i walked back to the car and had a rest for around 20/30 mins and had a chat with one of malcoms boys and decided to pay another £10 and fish on as i felt very confident on catching 2 more,i changed fly to one of my favorite(a little red and black buzzer)and fished it for a while with no success so changed back to the montana,2 casts later the third fish was on the bank at 2lb6,i was happy to be catching but was praying for something a little bigger,i moved 2 swims down and on my third cast in the new swim i had my forth fish on and this one felt bigger, after a dog,ed fight of around 5 mins i had a nice 6lb13oz rainbow looking back at me not massive i know but its my new pb and beats my old one by 5oz This is the first time ive fished this water but will defo be going back, all fish were caught with a slow figure of eight which i varied and on a green and black montana.

It's a strictly catch and keep venue, well the main lake is anyway. There is a small c&r lake but it's bl00dy hard work. Worth a go though when you've hit your limit quickly.

You're right though Luke, it is a great place. Excellent value for money, great staff and beautiful surroundings. Good job mate.

Andy
