Default Stockie bashing - NW England

Evening all,

Was chatting with me old man earlier about the possibility of getting out next week if the weather breaks a bit, to get the strings pulled a bit.

Anyone got any suggestions on a stillwater (Lancs/Cumbria) that fishes ok this time of year? Nothing too challenging please, just a bit of fun......and don't mention Bank House!

Thanks,
M

Havn't fished it for about three years but I used to like fishing Barnsfold Waters at Goosnargh, north of Preston.

I'd try Barnsfold, if it's not frozen. Fish are likely to be down deep so it's either sunk line and lure work or, my choice, a goldhead damsel on a 10' leader and an intermediate. (which is of course sunk line and lure work, but I try to kid myself that it isn't).

Echo that - fish in cracking condition last Friday and ate well too. Alternatively I had an excellent day late November at Cleveley Mere.

Barnsfold is our usual recourse for a spot of lure chucking, but it can be a bit dull at this time of year for my liking. Fancy a change like........maybe Bigland or Bessy Beck....or Forrest Hills by the sound of it. Thanks for the input guys!
