Any irish lads on here know if the liffey is gonna be open for salmon in jan this year,,i think it opened for a few weeks last year,,anybody else hear of this and if anything was caught.have a long holiday this year and would love to wet a line .maybe a trip to the drowes is in order.

liffey was a disaster last year and has been for quite a while,

the drowes is the obivious choice but is one cold spot when the weather is like what it is at the moment,

I really dont like the drowse, havn't fished it much mind you but have yet to catch anything on it, meybe thats why i dont like it lol

The Drowes will not be fishable on 1st January, have a look at their website its roaring through

didnt fancy fishing the 1st on the drowes,,heard the crowds are a bit much,,hopefully the levels drop a bit in the next couple of weeks.
