Sorry to have to say there isn't one..unless I've missed it.

There is, I believe a shop somewhere near Warwick but don't know what it's like and Mullarkeys are near Burton-on-Trent, I think.

Best bet is go for a bit of a drive to Sportfish at Winforten. Got near everything including a casting pool. A tad over an hour and a half but worth it.

Archline Angling in Cannock stock some gear and can get hold of whatever you may need. Other than that, Fosters of Birmingham may be able to get you whatever you may need from Sportfish but they have little fly experience.

Orvis in Stafford is about an hr from you.

If you find anywhere worth a look, please post.

Lyttles of Dunchurch might be your best bet - about 40 minutes from Solihull

Would also highly recommend Paul at Lyttles in Dunchurch. Very helpful. Lovely bloke and great service.

You could also have a look at Lanes in Coventry - more coarse than fly though.

Another vote for Lyttles.

A proper 'fly shop' - one of the few remaining, no ****, all proper stuff.

Hi Russ,i too live in the area and have similar problems. As the others have said Baileys of Warwick stock a reasonable amount of gear, plus a good selection of flies. However They stock no flytying materials.
Lyttles in Dunchuch stock tackle and a big selection of fly tying gear.
Solihull angling centre are starting to get a few bits and pieces in,so might be worth a look.
Apart from that, like me you might have to get the more specific items mail order or ebay.

Regards Steve

Lyttles of Dunchurch is the closest good fly shop I can think of. There is a fishing shop near the Swan centre at Yardley, but it is mainly coarse fishing based.
