Default The ideal fishing hat.

I think I may have stumbled upon the ideal fishing hat.

For years the argument has simmered, if not raged, across this and other forums. On the left we have the old school - those who demand that tradition is observed and revile the fashion statements of the modernist, whom they think have no taste or soul. On the right, we have the modernist to whom fashion is everything; believing tradition is for those who have lost touch with reality.

So I give you the great compromise. It's traditional;it's modern; it's functional; it's stylish. It is.......

Tweed Baseball Caps

We could even arrange a FFF edition if demand is great enough.

And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

They're not bad, though not for me as wife always refers to baseball type hats as ******** hats. Can't think where she got the term from as she is quite well spoken. Think she may have got it from me, I'm not so well spoken. Alan

A Chav item? I think not. A decent woollen tweed is far removed from Burberry cotton twill. No, this is definately a hat for the countryman; not the urban pack runner.

Actually i quite like the Number 10, though not for myself of course. A little too gay.

Oh My God!

I thought baseball caps were the absolute dog's gonads when it came to headwear, for shielding your eyes from a bright sky - in a discrete colour of course.

What the hell am I going to wear now? Can't let the rest of the scrotes at our ‘fish pond’ think I'm a chav - that won't do
