Default Found on the Clyde

October just gone- on the bank by the bridge at Biggar I found a 3 fly
trace in a packet-must have dropped out of someones bag.
The first fly was brightly colored pink -I think it is called a klink- the trace
was tied to the bend of the hook then down to the dropper which was a
small pink beaded nymph and the point fly was also a nymph type fly with
a black bead. I had a good look at them and thought to myself-
These flies look good-the guy who used them must know what he's doing!”
So I cut off the flies put them in my box and binned the trace.

When the weather improves I am going back for a bit of fishing.
As I forgot to measure the distance between the flies,
approximately what should it be? and does this set-up work for grayling?
If the person who lost it is a Forum member - recognizes the above
description -and wants his flies back --- they can't have them- because I
want to use them – but I would like their advice on how to fish this
method. All instructions welcome

Thats the way. I Like your thinking. Put the heaviest one on the bottom and the next one up and so on and ty them about a ft apart. Should do the trick It works well for grayling. Flick up stream and follow down and dont go 2 far and always keep in contact with the line keep the rod up high. Hope this helps

Never mind flees on the Clyde Dancer, if you found the flees I lost at Rothiemurchus, I want them back.
