Default Best rod and reel package for £200-£250?? Comments Please...

Hi guys

So the script is I'm looking to get a rod and reel for around the 250 mark and if anyone can give some suggestions and where to go for the best deal that would be appreciated.

Greys, Sharpes and any others that might fit the bill - looking to aquire a 10 footer or 11.

Fairly new to the game but I'm coming along nicely so any comments will be acted upon.

Cheers

Dave

In that price range the Grey's X-Flite might be a good starting point for the rod.

it really depends on what type of fishing you are doing and what action of rod you are best suited to. 10/11 ft boat fishing??

There's some great offers on Demons at the moment, you should be able to pick one up with a real inside your budget.

Happy shopping

Andy

If you are just going to small fisheries 10/11 foot is a bit large ,why dont you try and get a cast of a nine foot five weight i think you will be surprised ,i think a lot of guys on here would tell you the same ,easier to learn with as well. you dont need an eleven foot totem pole, ive had a couple of guys for a lesson with them and they cant believe how good a nine foot five feels in their hand ,try one before you buy

The demon is a bargain at the moment .............. but go and play ........ enjoy yourself trying them out. It's the beauty of buying a rod and reel.

If you are not a real casting expert like many on here there are some less 'technical' issues to think of. Like which one o you like the look and feel of.

I have Orvis, Sage, Hardy and Bloke ............ they suite my fishing situations and I like the fact I own them.
