Default degrading sport

Having not posted for a few days ,considering staying part of the forum, which I will be purely, as I enjoy the games and like to keep in touch with true friends on here.
Im ashamed to say, that seeing what a sport I enjoy and passionate about is degrading into.Fighting ,cheating, ego boosting, threats, what an impression to give to anyone considering taking up a sport which offers so much pleasure.
Petty pms because you disagree with an opinion, so as you get shot down as it effects those who make money from the forum makes me churn.

As far as egos go I can only speak for myself and content in the knowledge that its help and opinions which are offered,to which I hope some have benefited from in the past and not for any money gain or ego, as it interests me not.

Every person has something to offer, no matter their level of experience,we can all learn from without it degrading into petty snipes for gains.

I can and love a good wind up,both give and take it aswell and swearing doesnt bother me at all,But my sport matters alot, as its given me alot.Any writings I do anywhere are done as an angler, for the angler and not for anything else.

I wont bore anymore but this has bugged me for the last few days.

Ps
Fire away i dont give a ........

The people in question are just low life - They offer nothing to angling at all and should be banned from the forum - Zero Tolerance I say

These are the bawbags who steal trout and use banned baits then come on to the forum to boast about their illegal catch.

The forum has gone downhill lately and its these clowns that have dragged it down.

Yes I agree there have been quite a few unsavory comments being made on here of late. Though I will say admin do appear to have grabbed this issue by the scruff of the neck, and anyone who falls foul of any such comments or PM's should do their part and report them.

Kev,

How would you like to become a regular contributor to "Trout Slayer" magazine mate.

The benefits are not great at present. All I can offer you is a tin of "Trout Slayer Beer" for each article over 50 words.

Its only a laugh at the minute. Its not too serious and it might cheer you up.

But you never know if we get enough support from forum members it might take off.

The number of good things about fly fishing, vastly out number the bad mate

Kevin
I won't be firing anything in your direction - think you are spot on; some of the recent stuff on here has been pretty horrendous.

I haven't been a forum member that long but like to think my contributions have either helped someone or been a bit of fun.

Don't despair, it's only a minority and hopefully they'll be weeded out.

All of the internet forums that I have seen are the same - it's far from just a fishing thing. The major flaw of the internet is that it gives a very loud voice to the knuckle-draggers and half-wits.

I generally avoid too much involvement in forums because of this. As Forrest Gump's Mama used to say "stupid is as stupid does".

On top of which, you have the natural born experts. You know the one's - they never actually had to learn anything because they evidently knew everything about everything from the moment their misshapen heads popped out into existence, and do they like to let us know it!!

Fortunately, my real-world experiences of fly-fishing have been much more agreeable (apart from those fraught moments when management digests the credit statements, of course!). I'd still be trying to work out which end to tie the fluffy hook thingy to were it not for the friendly help and advice that I have gleaned at the water's edge - or indeed the comfort of the watering hole.

Don't let the b-ggers grind you down...

Your right there, so many keyboard warriors.

I used to run a rugby forum , and pulled the plug with 3000 members because I coudn't handle the constant bickering, like trying to keep children apart in the playground.

They need to unplug the computer, go out ,get drunk and get laid if you ask me.
