Default Wet weekend

Wharfe’s too high for me this weekend so spent some time at the bench. Been trying a couple of new patterns – pearly crunchers for next seasons pin fry feeders and ammonites for the grayling, plus the usual pink bugs, rhyacs & caddis.

First time of tying the ammonites (far right) and I think they really look the biz - hope to give them a swim by the end of the week if the weather lets up.

Tight lines
Mal

Hi', Mal.
I like the fly clip stand. It reminds me that I have a couple of bits of red deer antler about, and that I should be making myself a replacement priest. Nice selection of flies, too -- all time well spent. Good luck when the weather lets you get back on the river bank. TerryC

Thanks fellers - I guess you are both suffering far worse than us over in Yorkshire with the rain. Hope it lets up for you both soon.

I got the fly clip stand from Phil at Spidersplus - corking wee things aren't they. I think he gets the antlers from a scots gamekeeper and has them drilled locally.

All best
Mal

Yep, it's a bit wet in these parts Mal, but this time tomorrow night I will be enjoying my first whisky of the night in my local Spanish bar.
My neighbours said it was 26 in the shade today in my village, I hope to God it lasts.
