Does anyone have contact details for Wytchwood? Managed to snap my new rod yesterday(was landing a fish). I'm sure I have seem details on here before but can't find them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Where is it snapped about?
Dont you get a guarentee with the rod?

Broken on 2nd section from the top (4 piece), just below the top joint. I will contact where I bought it from tommorow to see if they can help me out. You do get a warranty from Wytchwood so I am hoping it can be sorted quite easily.

remember the contract is with the retailer not the manafacture, i would go down the not fit for purpose route as i dont think they offer a guarantee.

Hi, I broke the mid section of my new 7`0" trufly, took it back to shop I bought it from. They phoned Wychwood, and next day I got a call saying new section was in the shop for collection. So I would take it back to dealer first, hope it works out for you. Which rod do you have? Peter

I will try what you say this morning and go back to the retailer. I bought the Ionica, which I believe is discontinued - so this may be my sticking point.

I see from Wytchwoods website the truefly and auroa rods are covered by a warranty or replacement sections can be purchased for £25 / £35, but there is no mention of the Ionica.

Will let you know how I get on.

Hi LL, you should have a 28 day shop warranty,which if still valid, then section should be replaced free of charge. I got the mid section free, as it was within this time. Chances are you may be covered, you never know. best of luck Peter.
(If your rod is a discontinued model, they might upgrade to the trufly,or your dealer may choose to replace it) P.

I have been in touch with the retailer (Garry Evan) this morning. They have asked me to return it to them and they will take it from there with Wychwood. I'm pretty confident they will get it sorted, they were very helpful when I bought all my gear and sorted the bundle out for me.

I will let you know the final outcome when reached.
