Default Forum Members -Fly Fishing Story; Written by YOU!

Hi All,

I have taken this idea from another forum that I sometimes visit!

Can we write a fly fishing story? where by all forum members have the opportunity to contribute to the Tale. The only rule is that once you have written a sentence or two, you do not return and add to the story for at least 24, hours! There by giving other forum members the opportunity to add to the tale! Fact or Fiction, based on your own experiences; it could be fun!

I'll start the tale! Please help me continue the story.

Gone Fishing!

The sun has just peeped over the horizon, it's 6am, and it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day! It's the middle of June and I've planed a days fishing. There's a mountain stream that I absolutely love fishing. The fishing tackle is in the car, I've packed a bite to eat, a flask of coffee and I'm out of here.

I have my new cane rod to try out for the first time, I am really excited about using it, and hope I get to christen it today.
Whoops, nearly hit that rabbit, that was lucky,

gotta explain that where i stay, the mountains are 2 mile high, hence the sun just peeping over horizon at 6am in middle of june, however i digress, just as i got into car the worst thuunderstorm i have ever seen, started, roads turned into rivers, rivers turned into seas, car wouldnt start.

Perfect, 35 mph Easterlies, and bright sun.....

No Need for the sinking lines today, think i'll stick with the cane rod and my floating line and #14 Nymphs.....

Nevermind, I'll just use my expensive rods to guarantee catching plenty...

So I pick up my lucky boat no 53 and motor at full blast past all my happy waving colleagues on the water, and a few I spot in the bank that I didnt recognise at distance but up close - I still didnt...
