Default What type of fly man are you?

I see many different fly men through my travels and most have a very different approach to the sport we all love...I would like to see what people see themselves as, here is a list of the types i have come across that is most important to them...
If you know any other types please add...

What are you?

1. The love of the surroundings and just being out..

2. The Upper class type who loves to be known as a fly man to improve his status

3. The type who is all round fishing mad and fishes for anything

4. The hardcore fly man who only cares about catching trout and nothing else

5, The Grayling fisher who prefers this to Trout fishing

6, The fly tyer who loves it more than actual fishing

7. The type who fishes just for the Social side

8. The type who fishes but cares more for the environment aspects

9. The type who just goes to get away from the Mrs

10. The type who does it for a living

11. The type who just wants to be known as a fly man who thinks they are better than a course angler

I just want to catch fish on the fly. It's so much more fun.I have spent years of my life using other methods(magic) but I have settled on flyfishing as my choice, sometimes hard sometimes easy, but it's my choice.

To be better than a coarse angler you would first have to be able to spell coarse angler.

Default Advice Page

If this was a Cosmo questionnaire (not that I've ever read one ...ahem) you'd have to rate yourself with a mainly 1’s, 2’s or 3’s score and then you would have been provided with a description of where you're at and where you need to go next!

...and what about option 12. Trying to be a fly tyer of any group that’ll take you but you've gone off the boil, as you haven't found time to practice in the last week or so and things seem to have gone downhill since the promising start. After getting a bit more serious and then realising you’re likely to be fair to bad at best, you now feel a little intimidated by the vice sitting on the corner of your computer desk, because after a few easy confidence building attempts on big hooks, you've tried to do ones you'd actually like to fish with properly and made a right hash of it, involving a few lost hours at least and cutting all your work off the hook a number of times in order to have another go, mainly because you’re annoyed with your own ineptitude?

Not me though of course … it’s a friend of a close friend!

WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH!! You shouldn't try to pigeon-hole people!

Pick one you ask! Well, find one that covers the whole of your list, that's if your really interested; then you won't be far off a realistic answer.

There's nothing more satisfying than making a suggestive/imitative pattern out of a few bits of fur & feather yourself, then fishing in a manner appropriate to the fly & deceiving trout as a result.

As to the list, well I think it's just nice to be out in the fresh air in good surroundings (& of course catching fish!)
