Default Attaching Fly line to backing???

Hi all
I'm a little confused here. I want to attach the fly line to the backing and am not sure as to the best way to do it. The line is a still water WF7and has a loop in both ends. Could anyone please advise me of the best way to proceed?

Thanks in advance from a total flyfishing beginner.

Pete

The line should be marked with a label or something to indicate the front end and or back end of the line. As it's a weight forward line (WF) you should be able to figure it out if there are no labels as the first part of the line at the leader end will be thicker. The back end of the line will be thinner running line, this is the end you attach to the backing. As there is a loop on their I would make a tucked blood knot connection with the backing onto the loop. Trim the tag and away you go.
Cheers,
Mark

Is it a braid loop or a loop built into the flyline,If it is a braid loop.make sure it is secure, with possible a tiny drop of superglue at the sleeve. If it's built in. As stated, a Half blood/tucked half blood will be fine.
This is a budget line, and 'may' cause you some line memory problems.

Good site for knots. Try a Nail Knot if you don't want to use the loops.

Thanks for the replies folks, they're most helpful. The line is marked "this end to reel" and the loops at both ends appear to be braid.

Regards
Pete

You must put a tiny bit of superglue at the edge of the sleeve, and watch to see that it wicks a wee bit under the sleeve on both back and front loops to make sure they are secure. on this line.
