Default cloybank

I have been fishing Cloybank for almost a season know and i would just like to say that after 12 visits to the place I have averaged around 6 fish per visit. I have had 8 doubles with the biggest being 15lb and I have seen bigger fish being caught. It is not buy any means a big fishery but it is well run and the owners always make you welcome and they always remember your name.
Have a go guys whats the worst that could happen.

Default Each to his own !

I was ment to fish it last year, got there just before my mate,im sorry i just could'nt fish something that small i left, my mate phoned me 5 mins later he didnt even get out the car ! and went some where he could'nt cast right over

However each to his own, id consider taking a youngster there to break his duck.

Im not a fan of C & R on "small waters" i.e under 10 acres but im sorry its just 'wrong' on a puddle !

Default Re: cloybank

Just had another day fishing Cloybank through the week. Its been a while since i was last there but the fishing is as good as ever. Got 12 fish catch and release with 1 @ 11lb and 1@ 7lb. Most of the fish were between 2lb 7oz and 4lb with everyone of them fully finned and tailed. As usual the owner could not have been more helpful. Got most of the fish on small wets, black penel, kate mclarens with a few on buzzers. Great day once again.
