Default Cheap Waterproofs

Just had the fishtec clearance sale email and thought it might be of interest to some of you. i know it's Airflo stuff and not the best but for 30 quid I think the x-stream waterproofs are a bargain even if they only last a season (that's what I told her anyway!!). Here's the link anyway:

Fly Fishing Winter Clearance - Fishtec

For what it's worth, me and my regular fishing partners ordered a set each + i ordered a set for the old man (non fisherman) to walk the dog in! All items still in stock when I called yesterday at 3pm

Well I've just ordered my set, lets see what I get. When you go to Fishtec's site I can't find them at all, but if I use the above link posted by Fishing Junkie then I can see them. So my orders been placed and I've paid for next day delivery, so I should get them tomoz morning. Ready for my all day Sunday session... But where should I go?

Next day means next working day so you'll get them Monday , not Saturday ( standard mail order practice ) if it's by courier. Look on their delivery page :

24hr Courier Service (guaranteed next day) Mainland orders only - £9.95 (Monday to Thursday before 3pm)

So if you order Friday , you'll get them Monday.

Just to pre-warn you.

*****...

You have a point there Taff.
I would say thanks for pointing the above out, but you've just ruined my whole, entire weekend and now I'm going to sulk.

If, like me, you ordered the cheaper X-stream stuff, you may well end up with the T-water gear.

I did and it seems fine. Yet to use it in anger (or, more to the point, rain!!) though.

Cheers

Don

Fingers crossed

Well Fishtec have just rang me, and say they are out of stock! So I've now ordered the T-Water set.

And it will be Monday (what a nugget)!

Did they offer the water stuff at the same price?? I already had a set of the T water and only ordered the Xstream as a spare set but I'm not really that happy with the trousers - they're a bit tight around the old knackers!!

If they're upgrading you for free I might be sneaky and order a pair of the xstream knowing that they are out of stock then accept the more expensive T waters.

you won't be disappointed with the T Water's. Been using mine for 2 years now and the trousers are superb for the money.

I bought the wading jacket to go with them and they did leak under the arms once in what can only be described as monsoon weather. Never had a problem before or after this. They come in a handy bag (similar to a pack-a-mac) which means that once they are dry i can just chuck them in the boat bag until I need them.
