Default Newbee Forum Member Intro

Hi to everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is David. I am new to this forum.

I have been, on and off, fly fishing here in beutiful South Florida for most of my life. I fish both the Everglades (it's fresh, brackish and salt waters) and the inshore coastal regions of South Florida as well.

Just wanted to say "Hi".

Welcome to the forum mate. Would be very interested to read some reports from Florida! Especially during the cold scottish winter!

Hi, David and welcome.

As has been said, I would also welcome some tales of fishy exploits from sunny climes.

Thank You all!! I have enjoyed reading stories from this forum so far.

Here is the last report I filed here in the US from this past Sundays outing:

Because of the cool mornings (61-63 degrees F.), and cool water temps, my son and I launched the boat at 10 AM at Everglades Holiday Park. Started fishing shortly thereafter at spot #1. Had a few short strikes, but nothing hooked.

After a while, we made a 15 mile run to spot #2. Re-rigged the rods and started swimming a weightless worm in the thickest of lillypads and immedietly started getting slammed. Caught about 15 largemouth between 1 and 2 pounds. Then came across an intersection of airboat trails and the canal we were fishing and caught the hell outa some peacock bass. Tally there-10 pea's between 1/2 and 2 1/2 pounds.

Out of the water by 4 PM. Total tally-25-28 fish. All in all, a great day!!
