Default My fishing day today.

Went fishing today and had a really good day out.

Caught 40 fish sorry did I say 40 ! meant 4 fish.Weather was blowing a gale and it was baltic.Pointless with a dry fly so it was working with lures, tried an intermediate had 1 but changed to a ghost tip and it seemed to work better.Wasnt expecting to catch hard in the weather and it was good to be out with pals and their son and nephew and seeing them enjoying themselves.

I tried for a while as we do like a wee compy among ourselves and so on went the indicator and 3 blobs and away we went fish after fish, stopped for lunch and left our rods where we were fishing as you do so noone would nick our spot as that was where all the fish were and came back and carried on hitting them no way were we moving from here,we looked really good with all those fish.Nobody else was catching and they did ask what we were getting them on and we just said various, always a good fly that one ,didnt want to see them take over us as the top boys now did we?

Anyway at the end we packed up and had a really great day.The last bit from I tried is a pack of bull but im sure some can relate and yes only 4 fish on lures which was a good day and enjoyable as you had to work hard to get them and thats what I like ,superb hospitality and great craic with your pals and the younguns made it really good.

evening WFF, at least I can get out and have a fish all year round which can be rather CONVENIENT at times when you need to chill, no pun intended.

Lime and white tufty was the fly would have been easier on the river
if they were open.
