Default 68 trout today

Hi lads,

I was down in Murloc fishery near moira(lisburn) today and had 68 trout,I was down practising for a competition next weekend..My mate was with me and he doesn't normally catch that many his norm would be 5-6 sometimes 1,after a bit of coaching for 20mins today he had his best ever,he had 24...and I could'nt get him off the late it was dark.....I made up this fly which I'm not telling anyone till the competition is over promise....I had 9 trout in 10 staright casts and everyone else was struggling a bit....Anyone that was there today can come on and verify this,i couldn't keep the fish off it..it was great.....I gave one of these flies to a man who saw me catch fish after fish so if your listening don't say a word....he had great success with it.....this is why In my earlier posts I'd take on basil shields or anyone else at this time of year on any stocky lake....what a fly what a days fishing, haven't said that it was stocked last week, but everyone else had 4 -5 fish and struggling a bit,but we were everycast bang fish after fish...and the trout down there are superb fighters and mint condition....so happy days

No disrespect mate but you really are a class act and if you were any further up your own hole you would disappear ..

Wow, that's a lot of fish. If it were me who had such a "killer" pattern and had a comp on the water next week, I'd have taken the fly off after a few fish though.

I wouldn't read too much into the pattern though if I'm honest, sounds like you had some obliging stockies.

Didn't you get bored?

Default How much did your ticket cost?

How much did you and your mate's tickets cost? Because you just hit about £400 worth of fish, that not very good for the fishery or other anglers as you have just pricked all those fish, and you say you are fishing there next week in a comp, not good pratice mate, you have just sat and hit stockies all day,it was not you flie so don't kid yourself.
