Default Lough Waskel

Hi, does anyone know if Lough Waskel, part of the Rosses Lakes in Donegal, is open all year round? Has anybody here fished it recently? Cheers

I fished it yesterday. Lovely lake stocked with good quality, hard fighting rainbows.

Fish were caught all over the lake on various flies, both lures and traditional patters on a variety of lines, from a floater to Di 5's

It's in a beautiful part of the country too, well worth the visit

I like having your boat down there to bail as well . It means that I have a reason for going down there and people can't say I am mental for going down there everyday and sitting in my car looking out at the Lough sooooo longingly ..
