Default Bffi 2009

Just back home from Day 1 of the BFFI and the Fish On team had a great time. Thanks to everyone who came and said hello. It was great to be able to put some faces to names.

There was a superb turnout from the public and it was way busier than last year. Congratulations to all the organisers on a highly successful Saturday.

Looking forward to tomorrow...

JT

Thoroughly enjoyed it and meeting a few fellow forumites. My God, it was hard on me wallet though. I went into complete meltdown after finding Steve Cooper's stand.....

Cracking day, loads of information to take in, loads of people to talk to and most of all loads of money spent.

Thanks JT for taking the time to take me through tying one of those deadly Balloon Caddis patterns of yours...spot on!!!

Looking forward to the end of November!

I went with my son today... great to meet MrTrout, Buzz, and a whole host of usual suspects.

My 5 year old son is hooked. Straight to the WTT bug tank and to Oliver Edwards from there, where he recognised the flies he was tying from the bug tray. That was it! He insisted on finding somewhere to tie a fly... and a big thanks to Sewinangler and Scotfly at the UK FLyDressers stall for patiently taking him trhought he tying of his first flies... made his day and mine

Also had to laugh when he ran over to show his efforts to Ollie Edwards

Yes, my first visit, with the Buzzmaster, and had a great day, met so many forumites, the list is too long to print, but a special thanks to Martin, ukmric1, what a gent.
A long drive for Buzz, and many thanks.

The highlight of the fishing year and a great way to start the tying season!

My wallet is a lot thinner but I have some nice gear to play with.

My compliments to the organisers for putting on such a great show!

Cheers

Andy

Default Lovely to meet

Steven the pleasure was all mine, thank you very much for lunch.
It was lovely to put faces to names today, I set Mark off the other day looking to get a different rod brand to His usual favourites.

Catching up with Toby is probably going to cost me lots of Wonga in the coming few weeks.

I hope to pick up the Cane rods tomorrow and have an hour or two Grayling fishing, then come home and practice on the Nor Vise.
