Default Bob Nudd

Wrong place to post this I know, but if I post it under classic coarse fishing it'll get ignored by most on here!

There's debates on here sometimes about TV fishing presenters. I've just got sky+ at long last and have been recording the late night programmes, Bob Nudd's Right Angle. Ok its coarse fishing, but the man is a legend and not having seen him on TV before I couldn't believe what a good presenter he was. 4 times world champion, knows his stuff inside out, fishes professionally - pretty much every day - and he still has boundless enthusiasm, without any of the silly giggling of Mr Wilson, or the affectations of Messrs Yates and James. What a revelation Recommended viewing IMHO, even for fly anglers.

I'll not hear a bad word said against chris and bob. I've never seen wilson jump 10ft out of a tree into chest high water to land a carp although it would be interesting to see.

Mr Nudd? a true gent... Most of the top coarse boys are/were... Alan Scotthorne another one.... The 'late' Ivan Marks had time for everyone! Something 'our' so-called 'Top flyboys' could learn from eh?

Yeah, I've drawn next to Bob a few times and he is a super nice guy.

I also had the pleasure of Ivan's company on a winter league about ten years ago on the Nene somewhere. The fishing was dire but we just spent the whole day having a laugh.

captain,

your comment on ivan marks has reminded me of a match i fished on the trent at burton joyce some years ago now ,i drew the peg above ivan we were both on known chub pegs and fishing similar styles on the stick float with bronze maggots (done with chrisodine then)as the match progressed i was catching at a slower rate than ivan (not surprised really) and i just shouted down to him "hey ivan any chance of borrowing your set up" with that he put his rod down straight away and i thought oh sh1t gonna get a rollokcking here ,but no ...what he did was bring one of his floats shot etc and then set it up exactly how he was fishing for me and said hope you get more now young un,i did get more but not enough to catch the great man ,the difference was in the feeding ,a great man and loved by every angler ,a shame there isnt more like him now .....
