Default on the Fly.. of "Course"

well i was bored yesterday and went for a walk round my local park that has a lake with some pike, roach, perch and bream. i had my we grays river rod with me and tied on a maggot look-alike and started catching LOADS of we roach! it was just like course fishing. cought about 20 odd fish and must say it was fun, a great way to put a few hours in.

Anyone ever try this?

Paul

I have had some great times on the River on the Maggot Look alike. Just stand an exceptable way down from a Swim Feeder Chucker and fish upstream on the Look alike and the Chub, Dace, and Grayling cant stay off the BUG***

No it was Lurgan, i heard it was getting stocked every so often with roach n' stuff and i was waiting on new fly line coming for my #7 reel and rod so i couldn go to the fishery. So i took my we #3-4 GRXI Grays that i just bought and went for a dander! i put a we indacator on cause of the choppy water and was pulling them out well. no size like but it was real fun with the small light fly rod. I was using two types of look-alikes, a white maggot one and a dark red caster like one. the caster got the post pulls. Might give it a go at the lakes too though. under the bridge there..
