Wink Trout and Salmon cheats their readers!

Page 46 and 47 of this months Trout and Salmon magazine shows two trout caught by different methods. But does it? Looks like the same fish to me EXACTLY the same markings as one another? T & S if you want to silence this thread a new pair of scierra cc3's would'nt go amiss!

Haven't they been "cheating their readers" for some time?

It's not the first time that trick has been used.
Not just in T&S either.

Not just in T&S either.
In Catching Big Trout by Alan Pearson there's a 17lb, 18lb & 18 1/2lb fish which all have remarkably similar tail-wear & spotting patterns.
That book was published in 1979 so nothing new here then...

The Editor Andrew Flitcroft is a member/lurker on here I think, maybe he could comment/clarify?

Not sure if 'TheWorm' Jeff Pest could comment though, he is with the sister rag.

The Pirate.

It's all about the 'celebrity' thing. The regular contributors are mainly well-known anglers, some famous, so, when they or the magazine cheat on their readership, and the lie is pointed out to them, the chances are that ranks will be closed in order to protect images that might otherwise become tarnished. 'Status' and 'Image' must be preserved at all costs. I could tell you more; but I won't. TerryC
PS As already mentioned, photographic cheating occurs elsewhere. We have had a prime example on here --- no apology, no explanation, NO GUTS!l You can't buy honesty or integrity. You can certainly buy their opposites.
