For the second time, I took a full break from fly fishing at the end of the trout season here in Ireland.

That meant no fly tying ( no point anyway ) , no mags, no books, no forum ( i missed you guys !! ) and no mention of anything connected to fishing to the wife.

Well I can report back that it was a boring , fairly miserable experience, not to be encouraged. Its absolutely rotten at the start - a week in Marbella helped though

But it does help to snap away from the misery of the rivers closing and puts a clear break between the end of season and the strat of slowly gearing up towards feb/march 2010.

So , glad to be back, and hope the BFFI is going ahead as planned.
