Default new fishery in ireland

I have a lake about 1 acre I want to make it bigger into a 3 acre size..have you's any suggestions what I need to do from start to finish sometimes its better to get as many opinions as possible before I put a digger in.

I am based in Ireland and the lake is springfed already so we need to get a cabin ,toilet etc how would you design it.

Hi.
If it was me designing the lake, I would make it as natural as possible by planting trees.etc. Still leaving a good amount of room for casting.
I would put in a couple of drop offs for the trout when it gets hot. Also I would consider putting in platforms for ease of use.

John.

Hope you have a big pile of euro laying about and more time than 24 hours in a day as you will need it ..

Good luck though and where are you ?? If you near by I will come do some free from cash payment work and only take credit notes in the form of some days fishing

PS; can you stock it with Zander and Grayling please ???...

I'm on the east coast of ireland, not to far from Dublin about 20mins don't want to give it away just yet...

15 euro c and release and you must take your first trout under 5lb to turnover the stock...what you think..

nothing smaller than 3lb to be stocked..gonna b a while yet until its up and going
but i just need ideas to set it out first.....

cheers

Paul

was a bit drunk with my other comment but I basically see no point to this. If its the fishery on the N3 I really think your wasting your time and money in the present climate!

i think your thinking of rath****** in dunshauglin.

i wouldn't touch that either no harm to the man but €30 for catch and Release nuts or what and no fish in it.No this is a brand new lake with fullfinned triplods and fight like demons.take that lake above and this will be the only lake for rainbows in north leinster...

I am in co.louth and so is the lake...

Yep ok, well ok i wish you well and every success, i know its not all cut and dry as a friend who works on a fishery was telling me the boss had spent about 250,000 euro on set up and spent the same on maintenance and upgrading, new stock and wages,, expensive business froma small population , then when the fishing season opens the fishery will loose out,
wish you well , im sure plenty of our polish , lativan and lithuanian friends will be regulars to your fishery
