Whilst having a ride around yesterday came across a small Trout lake called
Clerkfield, situated just outside the small village of LILLESLEAF south of Melrose and between Selkirk and Hawick. There was nobody about
but I,ve got a number and are going to give him a bell later, as I,m hoping to
give it a session hopefully next week. does anybody know of this lake or have
fished it? the place itself is only about 3acres and there were fish rising while
I was there so theres something in there.

The lake is called Clerklands and it's a great little fishery. Used to be run by Wullie Foster who lives in a caravan on site. Not been out this year but is a great spot to spend a few hrs with soem really good fish in there.

Works well to all patterns with free rising fish and great eveing rises.
