Default new policy for burnhouse lochan

Over this last 3 months we have increased the size of our high quality hard fighting Rainbow Trout and also introduced a larger proportion of Brown Trout If you catch any fish over 5lb and wish to kill it, we will have to charge the extra weight @ £2.50 per lb. All Club bookings and competitions will be excluded -

Copy and pasted from their website.

Not sure if i agree with the new policy
Seems to be the norm nowadays with the likes of Bangour and Cloybank insisting on all large fish being returned, As i see you pay your money and take ur chance big or small it`s all down to luck what takes ur flea- imagine this paying ur £18 two fish limit and catching two cracking double figure rainbows and it costing you £70 ???? how often does this happen more likely two freshly thrown in 2lb stockies.Besides this whats the long term effect on the fish if they are constantly returned

Chris.

It does not really effect me as I take the C&R ticket.but I think it's not a good move.

8 Fish, but a couple of years ago they reduced it to 4 for a season because of fish losses due to very bad fish handling.

i hate fisheries that hav c&r limits, it can stop a good day. do they not want you to catch alot of fish?? i dont understand why they do it atall??.

all it does in my eyes is put alot of people off fishin at the fishery.....
