Default Polarized Sun Glasses

Hi All

This might be one for the myth busters:-

I have read that polarized sun glasses allow you to see fish swimming near the surface.

I wear glasses to protect my eyes but they are not polarised - if the above is true I may invest in a new pair. If anyone has any views on this can you let me know.

Many Thanks
LL

Absolutely true, they take the glare off the surface of the water so you can see in to it, I never fish without them, my grandson once said that I could see fish that weren't there, I still can, after a tot, or two....... But I can't catch them...

I've just invested in a pair of Optilabs Prescription Polarised and everything elseised.

The difference is astounding...I can see every pebble on the bottom, let alone fish near the top in virtually any light.

Tis true Loopylines Old Boy, never fish without them!!
I personally have a pair if Oakley 5 Squares, polarised, and with Amber Iridium Lenses, and I too can see virtually every pebble on the bottom, they really are a must, even in reserviors where you can see fish 6 ft or so down if the water is clear, they illiminate the surface glare almost completely.
Good Luck Mate.

Polarised glasses are a must, help you spot the fish better and also take the surface glare of the water.
