Does anyone know anyone in the fife area that repairs fly rods. Broke my Hardy today. DEVASTATED.

Hi Graeme,

Don't know anyone in the Fife area I'm afraid. Take heart though, I recently broke a rod I had been using for 24 years, I was absolutely distraught! I never thought for a minute it was repairable, it was completely shattered along the weave. A local tackle shop (Foxons) took one look at it and said "yeah no problem, we can fix that". So as horrible as it is to break a beloved rod, all is not lost.

dont they come with a lifetime warranty?

Its Broken at the middle joint at the spiggot, i think it can be repaired, i hope so.

First call has to be to Hardy's. I am sure they will be very helpful.

Unfortunately there are no rod repairers in Fife that I know of. You could try these guys:

Who all seem to be close to the Fife area. Personally I'd call Hardy.

David Norwich replaced the top piece on my #6 Sage XP and did a brilliant job - David matched the action and even improved it ( Dont ask me how he improved it - You will have to ask David that).

I would not go by David for repairs.
